this game is like an rpg, that you traverse a journey from point a to point b, except in freelancer, it's in space. There is a sense of space and space travel when playing this game. It is a very very fun game as you get to explore the games universe. Pros: it's an easy to understand space flight simulator, from the controls to the interface of the game. An okay game though if you like drawn out level grinding sessions. There's so much room in the universe but there's so little to do outside of flying, blowing things up, etc. Overall Review: The game has immense potential but sadly it feels kind of wasted. Story's decent but you have to do so many of the secondary missions to level up in order to unlock the next part that it feels like an uphill battle. They are limited to hunting people down, destroying weapons platforms, destroying criminals to tractor in cargo, and that's about it. You level up by doing missions and sadly the missions have very little in variety. The amount of space you have to roam around in once you unlock the jump gates is massive for a single player game from this era.Ĭons: Very very repetitive at times.
